Thanksgiving! A time of food, family, but most importantly thanksgiving. When the Pilgrims had the first feast, they really had some thanking to do. They had just met the Indians, who taught them how to farm and hunt. The Pilgrims had just been scraping by before the Indians came along. Now they had plenty of food to survive the winter and they were free to worship how they chose. The Pilgrims took the time to thank the magnificent God that had made all of this possible. We also have plenty to be thankful for, we just need to take the time out of our busy schedules and realize it.

Well, I have been doing pretty good. Basketball season has started, as most of you know, and I am greatly enjoying it. From my mom's blog ya'll know how the games have turned out so far, but I am mostly happy that I am having fun. We won't be having another game until December 9, so I am hoping that I can stay in shape. This will be hard especially with Thanksgiving coming right up, and with all of the good food that I know will be at my Aunt Gendy's house.

I am still working at Sonic, enjoying it more and more every weekend. I love the people I work with, and this makes it a lot more pleasant. I have stopped carhopping and I am mostly taking the orders. Having stopped carhopping, my pay has drastically decreased because of the tips I am no longer getting. I still make pretty good money without the tips so I do not know why I am complaining. Well, that is about all for me, hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving. Love, peace, and soul.

Isn't everyone a little afraid of death? Maybe some are just a little uncertain about death and life after death, but a poet named John Donne was not. John Donne was born in London in 1572 and wrote many poems during his lifetime. In the final few years of his life Donne became very obsessed with death and wrote many poems on it. He even preached his own funeral sermon a few weeks before his death in a work he titled "Death's Duel."Here is one of his famous poems:

This is a statue they have of him in London

Death Be Not Proud

Death be not proud, though some have called thee
Mighty and dreadful, for thou art not so;
For those whom thou think’st thou dost overthrow,
Die not, poor death, nor yet canst thou kill me.
From rest and sleep, which but thy pictures be,
Much pleasure; then from thee much more must flow,
And soonest our best men with thee do go,
Rest of their bones, and soul’s delivery.
Thou art slave to fate, chance, kings, and desperate men,
And dost with poison, war, and sickness dwell,
And poppy or charms can make us sleep as well,
And better than thy stroke; why swell’st thou then?
One short sleep past, we wake eternally,
And death shall be no more; Death, thou shalt die.

I haven't blogged in a while, I know. With this blog I hope to make up for lost times. The weather is very nice today, but has been very rainy and cold. I guess winter is fast approaching, even though its only October.

I have started basketball practice and I am enjoying it greatly. My team, or our team I mean, should be good this year. From what I see, this should be a great year for the Homeschoolers Basketball Association. We do not have many big fellows, but I think we might be able to make up for that with our speed. I like my coach pretty good. He seems to be wise in the ways of basketball and all of its in's and out's. I think our games will start in November and end sometime near February. The last year I played basketball for a team was in 7th grade. That was three years ago and I am looking forward to another season. When I wasn't playing basketball anymore I was kind of sad that I did not play as hard as I should have during the past years. So this year I am planning to play as hard as I can and try to reach my full potential.

Yesterday, the 22nd, we went to On the Border Restaurant to eat, since it was Cody, my brother's birthday. We had a very good meal, and lots of good conversation because Corbin was a chatterbox. As soon as we finished the meal, I was wondering if that was the end of the party. By the time that thought had crossed my mind I looked over and saw my madre talking to the waitress. I knew something was up when I noticed the secretive attitude my mom was showing. About five minutes later four or five waiters and waitresses came out and yelled "We have a birthday in the house!" Cody's face was so funny because I don't think that he realized what was going on. They came right up to our table and had Cody STAND in his chair in front of everybody in the restaurant. It was funny! Then they sang happy birthday and then gave him a cake. We split the cake up and finished our meal. Cody if you read this, I give you props for being such a good sport, you really put on a show.

Oh, and thanks Corbin for helping me write this.

I hope ya'll enjoyed this blog and I think I will do more. Peace, Love & Soul.

Clouds have hung over us for the past three days and rain has almost constantly fallen. I really like it when it rains, and I hope it will continue to rain like this. The only bad part of this rain is that it gets really humid outside and thats no fun.

I have not worked any this week, but will work Sunday. Last Saturday the owner took all of us employees out to an expensive Japanese restaurant. I got a Teppan steak. Teppan, I guess, is a Japanese word for thick, and it really was. EVen though the owner paid for it I still felt weird getting something that expensive, but I got over it. Afterwards he made a speech and then gave us some free stuff. The free stuff includes: Coca-Cola bag, a gift certificate to anywhere, a certificate to Blockbuster, and two shirts. Why all of the free stuff you ask? Because the Sonic I work at is in the top twelve in the country. He wanted to reward us for a job well done. Who said Sonic doesn't have benefits. Well thats all for me love, peace, and soul.
Man, who said that working at Sonic doesn't have it's advantages. No one I know has said that, but there are some good advantages. For example, this last Saturday, the owner of Sonic took all of us employees to a very expensive Japanese restaurant. I had a steak called the Teppan steak. Teppan, I guess, is the Japanese word for thick. We could order anything we wanted, but I still found it kind of hard to pick something so expensive. So after we ate, we went into a room where the managers gave a couple of speeches and then they started passing out free stuff. EVeryone got a twenty-five dollar gift certificate, a certificate to Blockbuster, two shirts, and a Coca-Cola bag. Why all of the free stuff you ask? Because we do such a great job, and our Sonic is in the top twelve of Sonics in the country. Pretty impressive huh? I would have put pictures of all of the stuff but my picture uploader is not working. Well, that is it for me love, peace, and soul.

'I'm feeling good from my head to my shoes, know where I'm going and I know what to do. Ooh ooh ooh ooh ooooh. I've got a new attitude.' Now, tell me what this is the theme song for? Anybody know? I am not going to tell ya'll, but ya'll have to comment and tell me what the answer is. I know my mom will know the answer, but how about the rest of you folk?

Anyways, today is going pretty good. I got up this morning and went and played basketball at a church with some homeschoolers. They are pretty good at basketball, at least better than I thought they would be.

After reading my mom's blog, you all know that I have a job at Sonic. Yes, it is true and it is going all right. The work is not too hard and I get good tips because of my amazing charm. Actually, I have only made about $25 in two days (9 hours total). This is pretty small compared to what some girls get while working there. Most of the girls are making at least $20 a day. Girls just get tipped better than guys.

The North Korea missile launches are big in the news lately so you have all heard about it. In one way, I sort of feel bad for North Korea. I mean, how come we can test missiles and stuff like that, but when North Korea does it everyone bad mouths them? Except of course the other communist nations. In the other part of me, I think we should just go in and drop a big bomb on them to show we mean business. If we just keep threatening and do nothing they will continue to take advantage of us and think we are weak. I am dreading the moment George Bush leaves office. I hope we do not have a liberal president this coming election because liberals are going to be the downfall of this nation. Well that is all for me so love, peace, and soul.

It's Been A While!

Go-o-o-o-o-d Morning Vietnam! How is everyone doing this fine May day? Today is kind of cloudy with a very light breeze and the temperature supposedly getting up to 89 degrees.

I have been going to tennis practice and I am still liking it pretty good. I am getting a little better, but I should go practice more often.

Days are really going by fast lately. Maybe it seems like days are really going slow to some of you, but most of you that read my blog are older than me, so maybe ya'll are wanting the days to go slow. If this is true, I hope your days are going very slow.

In English class this year I am reading the book 'The Scarlet Letter' by Nathaniel Hawthorne. Has anyone read it? I know my mom has, but she said it has been a while. So far I have thought it is a really well written book. Hawthorne does a great job, in my opinion, of describing characters and using symbols. I have been told that everyone in his story represents something. Such as, the governor portrays the punishment of sin, the preacher portrays the church, and the daughter of the protagonist in the story is another form of the scarlet letter. It is hard to explain on the computer but it kind of reminds me of 'Pilgrims Progress' by John Bunyan. They both use symbolism and both have a clear distinction between good and evil. Well, tell me what ya'll think!

Love, peace, and soul.

P.S. How did ya'll like my use of literature jargon? Protagonist means the main character. Antagonist is the one who is in conflict with the main character in the story.

Come with me on a magical journey through the park and to the library. Just a reminder to everyone, please keep all hands and feet in vehicle at all times.

This picture is of a baseball field where lots of baseball games are played.

Now we are in the library, look at all of the books but be quiet we do not want to get in trouble for being to loud.

Now we are outside the library and can see the outside of the library and a gazebo near by. How do you like the nice green tin roofs?

These next pictures are just places you would see walking through the park. Last, but not least is another baseball field but it is much bigger that the other ones. This is where the Sandies play.

Well I hope you enjoyed the tour and as always love, peace, and soul!

It is very cloudy here with just bits of sunshine getting through. It was a wonderful weekend though and maybe today will turn out okay.

We did as you have read on my moms blog go hiking at Palu Duro Canyon. I had a pretty fun time, well as much fun as you can have walking six miles. I did go off by myself like my mom told about in her blog but she did not do the story justice as I hope to right now.

As we started off walking on the trail I saw some guys walking up a mountain and standing on top. It looked pretty fun and I wanted to try it. I was not able to go right then but I will as we are coming back. So as we are coming back from the Lighthouse, the mountain that everyone walks to, and I ask my dad, if I walk over this mountain will I come out on the trail? My dad says yes and I start the climb over the mountain. It was a pretty easy climb except in some parts where it was a little slippery. I got on top of the mountain and start looking for a place to head down. I searched around for a little while and to tell you the truth I kind of felt like an indian and I liked it. Then I hear someone yelling for me and it turned out to be my dad. He had realized that it was not the right mountain and he had come up to tell me. Then the two of us search for a way down and find a place that looks reasonably easy . Well, we were wrong. It started out easy enough but then we hit a spot that did not have rocks on it and it was only dirt. It was really hard and yes, my dad was a little more than afraid. To tell you the truth I had to slap him a couple of times just so he would stop screaming. ....Okay, I am exaggerating just a little but it was scary. We finally make it down the hill and catch up with my madre and walk back to the truck. Well, that is it for me so love, peace, and soul.

Hello once again from the panhandle of Texas. Today has been a good day so far and it looks like it is going to be a wonderful day outside.

Finally it looks like President Bush is doing something about our border control. As you can read on this link that Bush met with the Mexican President and talked about border control. http://www.wpherald.com/storyview.php?StoryID=20060301-094941-3771r I really hope this will take care of the problem. I know Presedent Bush is catching a lot of flak about this issue and he is forced to do something about it. Well that is all I have to say today so love, peace, and soul.

This here is my tennis racket that I played with today, and here are the movies that I told you about. I might not have told you about Hondo but it is a good movie too. Anyways, I thought that they might make good pictures

Well today is a good day, kind of like yesterday, but a little windier.

Today I went and played tennis with some other homeschoolers. There is a tennis center right on the park where I live by and my mom went and checked it out. She found out that on Thursdays they have a homeschool tennis group class. So I went and I really enjoyed it. The coach there is from Russia and his name is Jan but sounds like Yan. He is a professional tennis player and he is really good. Now there are two sports that I need to work at. Tennis and soccer, but since this class was the beginners class, I was not the worst tennis player. I was not the best though, and I will be the first to admit it. This is very hard for me to tell ya'll, but I did get beat by a girl today. I am taking this very hard because I know that I have never been beaten by a girl at any sport before and I hope never again. The important thing was that I really had a fun time and met my first homeschool kids here.

I had a good birthday last night. We went out to eat at Calico County, which was very good. Jenny and Corbin came and ate with us and then we came back and ate some of my cake. It was German chocolate, which is my favorite and my mom really outdid herself on it.

Wednesday, March 29, 2006

Today has been a pretty good day and the wind has calmed down considerably since yesterday. Today is also a good day because it is my birthday. That is right March 29 is my birthday. Thank you Aunt Mary for remembering. It seems though that one of my sisters might have forgotten about my birthday. This sister has not called to wish me a happy birthday. That is okay Jocelyne I forgive you. I think we are going out to eat tonight at a nice restaurant. I hope they are not using this as an excuse to throw me a surprise party, because I will be on the lookout if you are. The conspirators can know that I will be like a cat always on the lookout.

Nothing has really been going on these past few days. Although I have found the sport that I can use some work on. That sport is soccer. That is right soccer. I always liked soccer but you can only be on a soccer team if you were about seven and I only played once. When I got up here I noticed a lot of kids playing soccer and I went and bought a soccer ball and have been practicing. The one problem that I have with soccer is that I can not kick the ball into the goal that good. With a sport like soccer the whole game revolves around the goal so I can be considered a pretty bad soccer player.

Anyways I do not guess that anyone has watched any of the John Wayne movies I suggested?
Well that is it for me and as always love, peace, and soul.

Tuesday, March 28, 2006

Today the sun is shining but the wind is blowing really hard. When the wind blows it just kind of ruins the day. Here in the Panhandle of Texas the wind blows extra hard, and you never get used to it.

I had not known that John Wayne had made so many movies as I found out after looking at Aunt Mary's link. I have not seen near that many John Wayne movies but I have seen some really good ones. Probably my favorite John Wayne movie so far would be Chisum. This movie is about John Chisum (John Wayne) as a wealthy land owner in New Mexico, and a greedy man named Morgan who wants to own everything in town. The movie has some known western men in it like Billy the Kid, and Pat Garret. These guys are helping Chisum while Morgan is trying to kill everyone that helps them. The movie goes on like this and ends with a big gun fight, and a fist fight between Morgan and Chisum. Morgan and Chisum end up falling off of a building and Morgan lands on a bull's horns and is killed. I really liked this movie because it really showed good prvailing over evil. And the guy Morgan was really bad. I also like the following movies: The Sons of Katie Elder, The Comancheros, and Mclintock. I have also heard that the movie Cowboys is really good. Well someone who has seen these movies let me know what you thought.

It is a beautiful day here in Texas, with the sun shining and a nice cool breeze.

Well, I have a new line of customers here like I did back there. Because on Friday my mom made up some little flyers for me to pass out to the neighbors on my street. These flyers just told them my address and my phone number and the jobs I can do. Most of the people on my street are older people and I think will need me to do some things. Today I got a call and a lady from another street asked if I could come by and take out some trash. I guess one of the ladys on this street told her about me. So I went over there and all she wanted me to do was to take out a barrel of trash. When I got back from taking out the trash she paid me five dollars. It took me about twenty seconds to take out the trash and she paid me five dollars. Now I am glad that my mom made me go up and down the street handing those sheets out to people because now I realize that there is money to be made here on this street.

I watched some more John Wayne movies this weekend. For some reason I just really like Big John and all of the movies he made. My homework assignment for ya'll tonight is to rent some John Wayne movies and watch them and tell me what ya'll think.

This morning started off with a little bit of snow. Not much snow just a little. Most of it is melted by now. It has been really cold these past few days and I hope it will warm back up soon.

This past week Dallas got some good news, bad news in some peoples opinion. This news was that Terrell Owens is going to play for the Dallas Cowboys. Those of you who do not know who Terrell Owens is here is some information.http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/5424172. What I think about Terrell Owens is that he is a great football player. His attitude is very bad, but the experience that he had with the Eagles is a good incentive not to do it again. Bill Parcels ( the Cowboys head coach) should be a very good influence on him. He has handled players with attitude problems before and has turned them around considerably. Terrell is such a good player that almost every team in the NFL would have been able to overlook what he did in Philedelphia. The Cowboys is a team that needs to rebuild and become like they were ten or eleven years ago. At the first sign of trouble from him I think they should immediately fire him or whatever they can do so he does not disrupt the team. Well that is it for me tell me what you think.

I am sorry to say this Jocelyne, but just taking one look at my toilet and anyone can see whose the better one is.

Well I had a pretty good day today. Except for a close call this morning. Let me explain. Yesterday I was sitting at my desk and accidentally knocked over some papers into my trash can. It made a really loud noise and I could not figure out why. So I went on with my day and took out the trash. This morning as I was getting ready to start school I could not find my Life Management DVD anywhere. I searched and searched and could not find it. Then I remembere yesterday and the noise and I knew where it was. In the dumpster. I run out to the dumpster in my longjohns and start searching through the trash. As I was searching the trash picker upper man turns the corner to come down my alley. I am searching and searching through this dumpster and I can not find it. By this time I am searching frantically because I know if I do not find it I am going to be in big trouble. Finally as I move an old newspaper out of the way I find it and save it from being captured by the trash man, who by this time is only a few minutes away. Well that is it for me so love, peace, and soul.

Monday, March 20, 2006

Man the wind is really blowing hard here plus a little snow is mixed in with it. It is really cold and the snow is kind of hard, or maybe it is because the wind is blowing so hard but it kind of smarts when it hits you. I would know this because I had to go take out the trash in it. Thanks Mom.

Yesterday I went and watched the Harlem Globetrotters play. I went with one of my friends and had a alright time. It was not as cool as I had thought it would be. The team they played did not even try to win, and I think they were supposed to not win to make the Globetrotters look good. They were good but I would have liked to see the team try their hardest and then see how the game would have came out.

Well as ya'll already know, at the library that I go to you can rent movies, so I have been renting a lot of older western movies. These movies compared graphically with the movies of today do not compare at all. But when it comes to having a great story line and having a good life lesson in them, these movies are better. This is just my opinion, but I think today's actors and movie makers are just in it to make money. Movie makers now do not care about teaching people good lessons. They are just worried about making money. Most movies that come out now are rated PG-13 or R because these are the movies that are selling and making them money. People now-a-days do not care about what they are watching. They do not care what these movies are doing to their minds and what it is doing to them spiritually. Well that is it for me.

These pictures are the pictures of my home. I know my mom put pictures of the house on her blog but I wanted to put pictures up of it furnished. These first pictures are of course the bathroom and toilet. With the toilet paper almost all gone. Moving on now we see the living room, kitchen, and last but not least my bedroom. If you look closely under my bed you will see a red something under my bed. That is a chair, yes a chair we got the chair so I could sit on it and watch TV or something. The chair turns out not to work very well so it is under my bed for uses in other areas. Well that is it for me so love, peace, and soul.

War, terrorism, and mass killings, all of these things have happened at one time or another and are supposedly caused by man. But is this really true? Yes, man is doing what he wants to do, but God is the supreme being. Man is the creation of God, and we are all really just puppets in God's master plan. Man does not cause war, or terrorism, or mass killings, he is used to start these things and these things bring thousands of deaths. You cannot help but wonder, how can God do these things. How can this loving God kill thousands of people, and then it hits you, to punish them of course. When the hurricane on New Orleans happened I would bet that at one time everyone had thought that maybe it was a punishment. I believe that in New Orleans God was dishing out his judgement and punishment. People who do not believe this tell me the reason. They, like everyone else on this earth deserve punishment and it just so happened that it was Gods plan that it happened to them. Some of those people that died went to heaven and others went to hell. God used it to bring his people to heaven and those of them that were not his people, to hell. All of these things are of and by God, true God uses men, but we are really just puppets in Gods plan.

For more info on this subject, you can read this article.

Hello out there. This is my first blog on my new computer. I really like it. How do ya'll like it? This is also another first. Do any of ya'll have a guess? This is the first blog in my new house. Pretty cool huh.

Well when I got back from my grandmas on Sunday I spent the rest of the time unpacking my stuff and putting it in strategic places around my room. I like the house pretty good, and since I have never lived anywhere else I think it measures up to all of my expectations.

Yesterday my mom and I were walking across the park right next to our house and found a cell phone. It was the cell phone of a girl and I guess she must have dropped it when she was there. We we got home my mom called the "Dad" number on the phone and was able to reach the parents and sometime they will be coming by to get it. Well that is about it for me so love, peace, and soul.

Thursday, March 02, 2006

We have had really good days this past week. Lots of sunshine, and warm weather. I actually think my legs are starting to get a little darker already. Which is very good because my legs got pretty white during the winter.

I had a pretty good day yesterday. It was a very nice outside and my paper route went fine. We are supposed to be getting rain on Friday, and it looks like that might come true because it started getting really cloudy yesterday evening. Today as I look out of the window it is still really cloudy, and not as much sunshine like we have been having.

Today I will probably go to the library, or go to this place where you can play games and stuff. It is called 'The Fall Out Shelter,' and it is kind of a church-sponsored thing, but anyone can go. You can do all sorts of stuff there like play pool or video games, and they serve lots of cheap food there. You can get a pretty good sized ice cream sunday for only a dollar.

Tomorrow we will go to the homeschool groups, and I always have a pretty good time there. Then on Saturday I am going to go meet my grandma and grandpa and go to their house for a while. I will be staying for a week all the way through their anniversary party. They are having it catered so there will be lots of good food there. Actually as I think about the food, it will probably be good, but I am so used to my mom's cooking that their food may not even compare. She is such a good cook, and a very good baker. Well that is it for me so love, peace, and soul.

Tuesday, February 28, 2006

Well my plan did not work as I would have liked it to. (See yesterday's blog) I had set my alarm for 6:15 because the neighbors usually leave at 6:30 and I did not want to miss them. So when I woke up this morning I looked out of my window and they had not left yet, I laid back down and was going to wait for them when I heard a beeping noise. I knew that meant the bus was backing up and they were leaving. Well I hurried and opened my blinds and got my camera, but by the time I was ready to take the picture they were driving by, and I did not get a good picture. Tomorrow morning I will try again, and will try to perfect my plan.

Well today is a nice day, and it is not windy. That is good because I had to mow our yard today and the wind would have blown all the dust everywhere. It was really dusty today mowing the front yard because I was having to mow it very short and the mower was stirring up all of the dust on the ground. I am glad I got it done now though and it looks pretty good.

My weekend is all planned out. I will go to my grandparents house on Saturday and stay until their anniversary. I do not really like being at their house on Sundays because when we go to church, the preacher always asks if there are any special requests or announcements to make. This does not seem too bad, but then my grandparents announce that I am there, to the whole church. This is kind of embarrasing, but I guess they like to tell people their grandson is visiting. Well that is it for today so love, peace, and soul.

Monday, February 27, 2006

Today was another beautiful day here in Texas. It was so warm and nice, and tomorrow it is supposed to be about the same but it might be windy. I really hate it when it is windy, and when it is windy here, it is REALLY windy.

Today I went and worked with a neighbor on her yard. I cleaned out flower beds for about an hour and a half and got paid $10. Big bucks huh? Well it is good enough for me because when I give most of my money to my mom for the computer I'm saving up for, I don't have much left for spending, so it was really nice.

Tomorrow morning I am going to be playing a little trick on my neighbors. Every morning around 6:30 a.m. the kids across the street get up and go to school. They do not go to school here, but go in another town. For some reason their mom drives the school bus to the town and picks up other kids to go. So in the morning when they drive past my window I am going to open the blinds and take a picture of them as they drive by. This will be kind of funny to me because as they drive by all of the sudden they are going to see this bright light and it will be a little confusing. My mom thinks I am a little weird for doing this, but I will put the picture on here if it turns out good. Well that is it for me so love, peace, and soul.

Friday, February 24, 2006

Today was a nice day, the sun was shining, there was a nice breeze, and it was fairly warm.

We went to the homeschool groups today, and had a pretty good time. We stayed longer today for some reason, an extra hour and a half longer. There are lots of things you can do up there at the church. We have it at the Peoples Church and we can play pool, video games, or basketball. I did all of that stuff today, and played basketball with Jediah (the kid who had the operation). It was the first time I had seen him since his operation, and he was pretty beat up. One of his eyes (like I already told ya'll about) does not open, and it looks just a little weird. I did not say anything to him about it, but his mom was razing him in jest. He took it good-naturedly, but I wonder how he must really feel about it. He also has a big scar line from about the middle of his forehead to the bottom of one ear. He said he now has a titanium plate in his head, which is kind of funny to think about. I wonder if his eye will ever open again?

I just got through doing my paper route, and I got paid today. I gave the money to my mom because she is saving my money for me for a computer. I think I have somewhere around $500. My birthday is coming up so I will get some more money to put on it. Well that is it for me.

Thursday, February 23, 2006

Today looks like it is going to be nice, with the sun out and nearly no wind. Summer sure is coming fast. There are a group of guys who mow yards all summer for a lot of different people, and today they started mowing a lady's yard across the street. You can always know that summer is coming when you hear people mowing yards. I will probably have to start mowing here shortly. I do not mind mowing that much except in the back yard where it is very dusty and when you start to mow, dust flies everywhere. I love the summer because when you wake up it is sunny and warm, and you can wake up easier.

There are a lot of new houses being built behind our house. There are going to be a lot of nice houses back there when it is all finished. Maybe I will take some pictures later and put them on my blog tomorrow. It is going to be different when I look outside and not be able to see open spaces. Instead when I look out it won't be too much longer that we will be seeing into someone's back yard. Well that is it for me.

I appreciate all of the comments yesterday, but I would like to talk about something different today.

Last night I got a call from my grandma, and she was telling me about their anniversary. They have been married sixty-years. Can you believe it? Sixty-years they have been married, and I do not see how. My grandparents that live in Stanton get along okay, but my grandma really likes to talk. My grandpa is not like that at all. He kind of likes to talk some, but not very much to her for some reason. I think sometimes when I am down there that he is actually kind of mean to her, and tries to ignore her. So when I hear that they are fixing to have been married for sixty-years I can not believe it. Although they are like this, my grandpa really does love my grandma. He goes to the store for her, and will even go back again if she forgets something, which she usually does. He will even drive to Midland, which is close to Stanton, and shop for her during the rush when all the ladies are getting off of work and are going straight the grocery store. I think my grandma really adores my grandpa. She is always cooking him special meals and baking things when she thinks of something he might like. Well that is it for me.

Well I know that most of you will at one time read my mom's blog, and find out for yourselves what happened and I think I better take sometime and tell about it. So after her blog you will know that I have cheated in school on things, and I deeply regret it. It was a terrible thing to do, and if I could take it back I would a million times over. I guess I thought that it would be a lot easier just to cheat and be lazy and never study, but that is not the way to go. I know my parents probably think that I cheated from the beginning, but I did not. They can not believe what I say because now they think that I am just a liar and a cheat, and can not tell the truth. When I first started homeschooling I had thought that it might be kind of fun to do, but after a few months I knew then that it was really hard. Going from public school to homeschooling was very challenging. Homeschooling is very hard, or rather it is a lot harder than public school. I was really not making very good grades, and I knew that all the time I would have to study. I tried that way and I actually started doing alright. After a while of this I really got tired of it, and started hating having to study this much. So then I cheated and I found out that it was a lot easier this way. After I had cheated I felt really bad and I was always nervous about being found out. I don't know why but I did cheat some more. After this I tried to stop and I did, until I had taken all of my semester exams and had only a chemistry test left. I did not think that I could pass so I cheated. Then my mom caught me, and from then on I have not cheated since. It has been really hard, but I have made it and I am doing alright. I do not want people to read this and think that I am still making excuses, or to fell sorry for me. I write this with a sincere heart to let you know what I really am.

Man, it is getting colder here. It is only about twenty-eight degrees at eleven o'clock. Pretty good day at school today, I had a lot of stuff to study for, but I think I did alright. This next week though is not going to be easy. I have my final exams, and then I will be through with the tenth grade.

I know the Dick Cheney incident happened about a week ago, but I just heard about it yesterday and I am flabbergasted about the big fuss there is about it. He was hunting and accidentally shot his friend. As a hunter this can very easily happen to anyone while hunting. Let's try to paint a picture of what happened. Dick Cheney is riding along, all of a sudden he hears some brush move, then he hears a bird fly up and he turns and shoots. It was not a bird he shot though, it was one of his friends he was hunting with. Now I can see if this happened to be the President who had been shot there should be an big investigation into it because it would make Dick Cheney become President for a while if the President had happened to die. But when just a normal guy is accidentally shot it should be looked at as just an accident. I thought it was kind of funny when we were listening to the radio in the car, and the reporter was saying that even the man who was shot was surprised that they were making this much fuss about it. Well that is it for me so love, peace, and soul.

Well, I have lived through another night and I am able to see this wonderful day here in Texas. Isn't it kind of weird to think that any minute you might die? It is kind of laughable actually to think about it, because we look at all the vaccines that man has made and the new surgeries that one can go through, but it is funny that germs and diseases are able to mutate (I don't really get how) and still kill people. I like to think that this is God's way of showing man that he is not as smart as he thinks. It was like this during the Hurricane Katrina when people were wanting to stay at their houses, but at the same time there was actually fire on top of water. This was probably because of some chemical on the water, but I think that that is just Gods way of saying GET OUT OF NEW ORLEANS. This is just another way of showing man he is not that powerful.

Well up at the top is yes, a picture of me dunking the basketball. The picture did not turn out as I would have liked so I will not try to fool ya'll and tell ya'll that it is a ten foot goal. Which I was going to try and do if it had worked out. Well that is about all for me so love, peace, and ssssssssoooooooooooooouuuuuuuuuullllllllllll.

Another beautiful day here in Texas with the sun shining and almost no wind. Pretty good day at school, not really that much to do. Just a quiz and a book report, but since my mom is at work I have not taken my quiz yet.

I really do not have that much to talk about today. Besides that I have to go do my paper route today, which is not that hard.

Oh, well I forgot to tell ya'll yesterday in my blog, but over the weekend we painted my room. It is kind of a baige color, which was not my choice but it does look nice. Before we started painting, I had to take all of my stuff off of my walls and shelves, and move everything away from the walls so we could paint. This part was not that bad, it was when I had to put all of the stuff back that was the pain. Everything was really dusty and I had to wipe it all off, and then put all of the stuff back where it was. It took forever, but I think it was worth it because it looks a lot nicer. Well, that is about it for me so love, peace, and soul.

Tuesday, February 14, 2006

I had a very short day in school today. I do not know why it was so easy today, but I am glad that it was because it was a relief time from my tests that I had to study for yesterday.

It looks like it is going to be a nice day with the sun shining again. I really can not believe that it is winter. It seems like spring almost.

I know the Superbowl was played about two weeks ago, but I have to bring something up. I truly think that the Seahawks could have won if the referees would have done a better job. The refs have a hard job especially when they are reffing the Superbowl, but they are expected to make the right calls. I understand that they are probably getting a lot of flack from those bad calls and I feel bad for them, but what makes me not feel bad for them is this: When the head ref Bill Levy comes on television and tells everyone that the game was reffed fairly. That is a complete lie, he is just trying to justify himself when he knows that there were some definite mistakes during the game. I understand that it would be really hard to admit that you blew some calls during the Superbowl, but don't insult everyone's intelligence by saying the game was reffed fairly. Well that is my take on the Superbowl. So love, peace, and soul.

Monday, February 13, 2006

Man, I had a very busy day today. I had two tests today and two quizzes, and one of the tests was a final exam. The final exams are tests over what I learned the whole year. It was pretty hard, but I did well on it. I also did good on the history test. It was pretty hard too, but I got through it and made a 90!

I have been thinking lately of all the talk about nuclear weapons. How this country or that country is fixing to have nuclear weapons and will probably fire them at the United States? So what got me thinking about this is that in history class we were learning about the Cold War, and what really got the communists scared was a program called Strategic Defense Initiative or SDI. This program was started by Ronald Reagan and was a space satellite that if anyone ever fired a nuclear weapon at us this satellite would be able to change its direction and send it the opposite way. This got the communists so scared that they knew they had lost this war if we ever completed this program. They then started wanting to talk peace with us. The only bad part about the program was that it was costing loads of money and President Reagan was not getting much support about it; so the program was never finished. How come during all this talk about people firing nuclear weapons at us President Bush does not finish this program and be done with it? Maybe they are working on it, or maybe they already have it. I know that I am probably not the only one who has thought about this, but it is something to think about. Well, that is it for me so love, peace, and soul.

Friday, February 10, 2006

Man, it is a horrible day today outside. The wind is blowing ,it is cold, and the clouds are this dark gray color.

School went fine today, and I did okay on all my quizzes and things.

One thing I had to do today was say Antony's speech from Julius Caesar by William Shakespeare. We also read the play in school. I myself did not really enjoy the play. I think it was because Shakespeare did such a good job writing the play that I actually disliked the bad guys so much that I just did not like the play. For those of you who have not read the play or do not know much about Julius Caesar here is some background. Julius Caesar defeats Pompay (Romes former leader) and declares himself dictator. The citizens of Rome love him, but the senators hate him. One senator named Cassius is very jealous of Caesar and devises a plot to kill him. Caesar's friend Brutus is also one of the conspirators, but he says he is going to kill Caesar because he knows he is a dictator and wants Rome to be free. So they kill him, and people that were partial to Caesar raise an army and kill Brutus, Cassius and the other conspirators. The thing that bugged me most about this is that most of the conspirators said they were going to kill him for the good of Rome. Although, that was not the case. They were doing it for personal reasons only. I think the only conspirator really doing it for the sake of Rome was Brutus. This is the problem. Brutus thinks that killing his friend, and saving Rome from a dictator is not murder. He believes the lie that the end justifies the means. So this story really showed me human nature, and after all that happened, Caesar's nephew, Octavius becomes power hungry and names himself dictator for life, of Rome. Everyone in this story was looking out for himself, and not anyone else.

Well that is is for me so love, peace, and soul.

Today is looking like it is going to be a pretty good day. I had a pretty short school day today, and hardly any quizzes.

No paper route today and I am glad because it looks like it is pretty windy and I need to get my bike fixed because I don't know how much longer it is going to hold up. It did good yesterday when I had to do my paper route, and maybe it will last a good long while. I do not know.

I cannot wait until Friday! Can you guess why? Tomorrow we get to go to Pizza Hut with other homeschoolers because of Valentine's Day. Plus all the moms are buying candy and will give some to all the kids. Can you believe it! I am so excited.

Tomorrow I have another test. It seems like I have tests all the time. This week it has been a verses exam, a chemistry test, and now an English test. Then on Monday I will have a history test. So I am going to be pretty busy. I don't know what I made on my chemistry test, but I sure hope I did okay. Well that is it for me so love, peace, and soul.

P.S. No Jocelyne, it is not your bike.

Wednesday, February 08, 2006

Another beautiful day here with warm weather and almost no wind. I have had a good day so far. Not a really busy day today, but I do have to do my paper route. I had a lot of school work today, but I have not taken my chemistry test yet because my mom is at work. I hope I do good on it.

Well last week was not the day that we go eat pizza, it is this Friday. This Friday I will probably find out what is going on with my friend and find out how he is doing.

Well not much longer on my school work just about two and a half weeks longer. I can not wait to get through with tenth grade because it has been pretty hard. I think eleventh grade is supposed to be easier and I am looking forward to that.

Man I could not believe it when yesterday, I was riding my bike to get my haircut. Actually I was just getting back to my house when I looked at my back tire and saw that the rubber was about to fall off. The rubber was ripping badly from the metal part. So I don't know what I am going to do. Well that is it for me so love, peace, and soul.

Tuesday, February 07, 2006

Well as you all know I went to the Texas vs Texas Tech basketball game last night and it was a good game. The bad part about the whole thing was that we did not get back until about two o'clock a.m. and I had to get up at seven-fifteen this morning for school.

School went okay today, but I am dreading tomorrow. I have a chemistry test, and a verses exam plus two quizzes. During my school year I have to memorize verses for my bible class, and after every semester we have a test over all of the verses I have learned. Hopefully it won't be so hard, but I don't know about my chemistry test. I will just have to study hard tonight and get through them.

Well I will be through with this school year in a few weeks I think, but this also means final exams. These final exams are over what I have learned this whole year. Usually, my teachers have big reviews a class or two before the big exams, so those will help me alot. Well that is it for me, so as always love, peace, and soul.

Monday, February 06, 2006

Hello and welcome. I have had a pretty good day today with only two quizzes. I think I did good on one and not so good on the other.

Today looks like it is going to be a good day, but it is a little windy. I hope the wind stops blowing, or I am going to have a hard time on my paper route.

Today is the day that I get to see Texas play Texas Tech. I think it also might be kind of fun just to see Bobby Knight. He is the coach of Texas Tech, and I wonder if I will get to see him throw a chair or something. I think it is going to be pretty fun, but we won't get back until about one or two o'clock in the morning.

I went to my aunt's house over the weekend and had an okay time. They live on a ranch and have a bunch of dogs. The bad part about the dogs is that you get hair all over you because they shed.

Well as far as I know my friend is still doing pretty good. I think he is out of the hospital, and is able to stay at his house. Well that is about it for me so love, peace, and soul.

Friday, February 03, 2006

Hello and once again welcome. I am your host, and will write about some very interesting topics. First of all, I did not do too good on my test and quizzes today. I really do not know what happened. Either I did not study enough, or I was just not understanding what I was studying. So I had to correct a bunch and I think I finally started to get it.

It is a very nice day today, although it is pretty windy. I would know because I just got back from the homeschool group, and I had to ride my bike because my mom had a hair appointment in Stratford. So all the way back here to my house I was riding against the wind.

Well I finally got the news about my friend. They got all the tumor out, and I now know if the tumor is cancerous. Drum role please, and it turned out that the tumor is NOT cancerous. I can just imagine how Jediah and his parents felt when they found out what it was. It was probably a tremendous load being lifted off of their backs.

Tomorrow I have to go work with my dad. We have to dig a sewer line in the backyard of one of his rent houses. Sounds like fun, huh? Well I am fixing to go do my paper route, and I will get paid today. So that is it for me and as always love, peace, and soul.

Thursday, February 02, 2006

Quiet day today at school, nothing is really going on. I had two quizzes today, but I have not taken them yet. The reason is because my mom is off selling her motorcycle. Yes, my mom has a motorcycle. She has had it for about five years or so and has decided to sell it. My dad also has a motorcycle, but his is not as cool as hers. I think it would have been a good idea to sell his motorcycle and keep hers. Maybe that would not have been a good idea, but hers is cooler, and I would have kept it.

Well no more news on my friend's operation. His parents and he probably know now, but I do not. I will probably know tomorrow since Fridays are the days everyone gets together. So someone in the group should know. I might be mistaken, but I think tomorrow we get to go eat pizza for Valentines day. I am probably wrong, but I hope it is tomorrow.

Busy day tomorrow. I have a math test, and I do not know how well I will do. I also have four quizzes tomorrow. So I am in for a lot of studying tonight. Well that is it for me so love, peace, and soul.

Wednesday, February 01, 2006

Wednesday has come and is nearly gone. Good day at school today, and like you know from my last blog, I had a couple quizzes. I do not know how well I did on them, but I think I did not do so well on my English quiz. Everything else, I did well on, I hope.

Well like I told ya'll, I would show ya'll a picture of my dirtbike. This is a picture of me in the mountains of Red River, NM. I am in front of an old miner's cabin. I also went riding my dirtbike yesterday, but did not have that much fun because my ankle was hurting. I think my ankle hurt from going and playing basketball at the highschool on Sunday. It is still sore today and I do not know what I did to it. Hopefully it will be better tomorrow because it is starting to get annoying.

Well I know you have all been waiting anxiously for more information on the my friend's operation. I heard that the doctors got most of the tumor out, which is good news, but do not know if it is cancer yet. His eye is also kind of messed up. He is not able to open one of his eyes. It might be just a trauma from the surgery and will get better, or it might not.

So, on a lighter note, I am going to see a Texas vs Texas Tech basketball game this Monday. I am going with my sister and one of my friends and she is taking a friend. I can not wait to see Texas win. It should be a good game and extremely fun to watch. Well that is it for me, so as always love, peace, and soul.

Tuesday, January 31, 2006

Hello once again for another day of blogging. I hope your day has gone as well as mine has so far. I have had a good day at school with just one English quiz today. I even might have made a one hundred on it. It is a beautiful day here today, the sun is shining, with a gentle breeze, and it is pretty warm.

As I told ya'll last blog that yesterday was my friend's operation. I have not heard how it went or if the tumor is cancerous yet. I was just thinking about how it must be for him and his family to have to wait for the final verdict about the tumor. It must be very worrisome for his parents.

Well, no paper route today. I just have to clean my room because it is pretty messy. I have a bunch of stuff to study for tonight, and will be pretty busy. Not any tests just three quizzes and a current event. I really want to ride my dirtbike today. I have not gotten to ride lately. Probably because it has been cold, but today looks like it might be a little warmer. One of these days I will put a picture of my dirtbike on here since ya'll have not seen it. Well, that is about it for me. So remember love, peace, and soul.

Monday, January 30, 2006

Another weekend has gone by, and another Monday has taken it's place. Today promises to be a boring day. Nothing is going on. I had a history test today. I do not know what I made yet, but I think I did well. Yesterday I went and played basketball at the highschool, which was pretty fun.

My friend, Jediah's operation is today. I hope everything is going well so far and that the tumor is not cancerous.

Today is kind of cold, but it is not windy or cloudy so that makes up for it being cold. I have to do my paper route today and I will probably go to the library to drop off some books and maybe pick some up. As ya'll know from reading my information segment, I really like Sherlock Holmes, so that is what I will probably get.

On Saturday I went to my friend Andrew's house, and played video games and wrestled on the trampoline. I, of course, won at both things. Actually, I really did not win at anything. Well I do not have anything else to say, so goodbye.

Friday, January 27, 2006

Hello everyone, it is another Friday and I am doing good. Today has been a nice day so far, just a little windy though. I just got through doing my paper route, and I also got paid today.

Well school went alright today, and I passed my English test with an eighty-five. You know how in my last blog I had said I was going skiing? Well, that is not going to happen. My mom just came and told me we were not going. She said my dad, who was supposed to be taking me, had to work, so we are not going skiing. Oh well, no biggie.

I can not believe that it has not snowed here. It usually always snows in the winter. It has not even snowed a little. I went to a homeschool group today where a bunch of kids get together who are homeschooled, and just mess around. Today I played pool, and catch with a frisbee. One of the kids who goes there has found out that he has a tumor in his head. He is going to the hospital on Monday to have brain surgery. They do not know whether it is cancer or not, but he is going to be in surgery for five hours.

Well that is about all I have to say, so as always love, peace, and soul.

Thursday, January 26, 2006

Well, another day has come and a new day has taken it's place. Tomorrow is Friday, and my English test will be tomorrow. I sure hope I will be ready.

Today is really windy, and I am glad I do not have to do my paper route. I played basketball and football yesterday which was pretty fun. I had thought at first that yesterday was going to be a horrible day because it was so cloudy, but it turned out to be a good day. I don't know what I am going to do the rest of the day. I will probably go to the library or something.

So far this year I have not been sick, and actually I have not been sick for a longer time than a year. I hope I can keep it up. I hate being sick. Your nose gets all stopped up and you cannot breathe. It's horrible. The thing worst about being sick though, is before you got sick it was really cold, rainy, and just horrible outside. Then the day you get sick it seems it is always sunny. Everybody is playing outside and you want to get out so bad, but your mom will not let you. Man, I hate that. Well, that is about all I have to say so remember love, peace, and soul.

Wednesday, January 25, 2006

Well, hello everyone. It's just another day, with nothing else to say, but hey it is a glorious day!

Not much to do today, except my paper route and then I do not know. This Saturday I am going skiing, and I like to ski. I don't know how much fun it is going to be since there has not been much snowing going on here, but I don't know how it is going to be there. Hopefully, there will be plenty of snow.

I just got through eating a sandwich if anyone really cares what I ate, but this is my blog so I guess ya'll will just have to live with it.

I did not have a real busy day at school, just a few quizzes. On Friday though I have an English test and English is not one of my strong subjects. We just got through reading the book Julius Caesar. It is a pretty good book. It was not really written as a book though. It is more like a play. The book was still pretty interesting, and I really enjoyed reading it. Well that is it for me and always remember love, peace, and soul.

Tuesday, January 24, 2006

Well, hello everyone. Guess where I ate supper last night? You guessed it. I ate at Taco Bell, and had a chicken stuffed burrito.

For those of you who read my last blogging I was hard at work on a research paper that was due today. I finally got through with it at about eight o'clock and I was so happy to have it over with.

Well I do not have a very big day today. Their is no paper today so I do not know what I am going to do. On the day of my research paper I also had a book report due, and the book I read was called "I Love Paul Revere Whether He Rode or Not". It was a pretty good book about all the myths in American heritage. Such as George Washington and him becoming our first president. I had figured since he was a war hero they would definitely vote him in office, but that is not so. There was probably some thinking like this going on, but back then it really kind of counted on alcohol. Whoever bought the most alcohol and presented it to the most supporters would probably win. It said in the book that when he was running for a Virginia office he bought 144 gallons of alcohol to win. Pretty amazing huh? Well thats all for me.

Monday, January 23, 2006

Does anyone really like Mondays? I want to know someone who really likes this first day of the week. Some weekends have actually been ruined because of what is going to happen on Monday. For example, let's say you are having a great weekend, but right as you fully start to enjoy this free-time your thoughts are immediately interrupted by the image of what you have to do on the first day of the week. If you are me, you know that when Monday gets here I will have to spend most of the day working on a research paper that should have been given more attention than what I paid it. Anyways, besides this I had a great weekend. On Friday after I did my paper route I went to the stock show, and stayed around there until supper time. Then on Saturday guess what I did? I went back to the stock show and hung around there until about supper time. That was about the extent of my weekend and those of you who live in a big city are probably thinking, what a boring weekend, but in this little town that would be considered a fairly eventful weekend. Well, that is about all I have to say so have a nice day.

Stock Show

Howdy everyone! Guess what today is. Do you give up? Well, it is stock show week here in my home town. This week everyone gets their pigs, goats, rabbits, or steers all ready to show. There is not much to do in this town so when stock show is here, it is a pretty big deal. Parents come to watch his or her child in the hope of seeing them win a trophy and some money.

Well, today is pretty cold and I have to go do my paperoute. At least it is not raining. Oh no, it just started raining! Just kidding, but I better knock on wood. You never know what might happen. Today I get paid for my paper route, so there is an upside.

Man, I am glad it is Friday. I can just hang around and not worry about tests and things. Well, I guess I better go enjoy my Friday, and if I do not hear from anybody tonight or tomorrow, then: good afternoon, good evening, and goodnight!
